That terrible pun, which I stole from my girlfriend, is the only thing I could think to title this report. My apologies.

We're in the Dalarna region of Sweden, which is why we're sitting on these horses in front of the hotel.

Tomorrow morning, I (Jason Cork) will be headed over to Sweden and Finland to coach for the J1 Scando Cup trip. Thirteen athletes (including Rocky Mountain Nordic skiers Jamie Woelk, Noah Hoffman, Tad Elliott and Ian Havlick) are making the trip.

On the off-chance that anyone is interested in how things are going, I've set up a Trip Reports section for the Web site. In theory, I'll have Internet access over there, so I hope to post stuff frequently.

This area is not intended to be my exclusive domain; I would be ecstatic to post your trip/race report if you write one up. Just e-mail it to me at rmnordic@gmail.com.

John Callahan has tabulated and posted the second Colorado Cup and Rocky Mountain Nordic points lists.

The Colorado Cup is an award given to the club that has the best points total for the entire season. Skiers from J5 to OJ are scored, and all skiers who participate earn points for their team. Currently, Boulder Nordic Junior Racing Team holds the top spot, with Summit close behind.

Rocky Mountain Nordic points are used to qualify individual racers to the Junior Olympics, held this year in Houghton, Mich. Note that an individual's four best results are used in the ranking list; skiers who have less than four finishes are not currently ranked.
