Early to bed, early to rise, wax a million skis in between. Oh yeah, and a little racing action.   Read More...

Classic sprints were yesterday, and Rocky Mountain Nordic had some great results -- second for Jamie Woelk (J1 girls), third for Sarah MacCarthey (OJ girls), fourth for John Gerstenberger (J1 boys), eighth for Calvin Delamere (J1 boys), ninth for Hannah Hausman (J2 girls).

Everyone got out and raced hard in difficult waxing conditions. Many skiers were just shy of making elimination rounds, so we're really looking forward to tomorrow's mass-start classic distance races.

Check out the official Junior Olympics site for full results and Webcams for tomorrow: www.2006juniorolympics.org

The first account, which takes the Rocky Mountain Nordic team from Denver to Houghton, is up at Trip Reports.

I'll assume that readers can check that section from time-to-time without needing a prompt on the front page that new reports are up.

Rocky Mountain Nordic has named its team for the 2006 Junior Olympics, which will be held March 6-11 in Houghton, Mich. Since the naming of the team on 02.18, some collegiate athletes gained pre-qualification status through their NCAA regions, while other athletes had to decline attendance due to previous obligations. Thus, some team alternates will be heading to the UP as well.

Congratulations to all of the team members are in order.

A final RMN Points List is available at Information/Forms.
