Justin Easter has accepted the position as Head Coach of Summit Nordic Ski Club. Justin has spent much of his life skiing in Maine.
A 2003 graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. He earned a degree in English Literature which has helped him find a hobby-like existence in writing - which eventually lead to editing SkiPost.
After his time at Bates Justin went directly to the Maine Winter Sports Center's resident program in Presque Isle, Maine to pursue his racing career. At the end of the 2003-2004 race season Justin passed through Bozeman, Montana, and decided to make that his home. For the past three years he has lived in Montana, and worked/raced for the Subaru Factory Team.
Justin will bring a wealth of industry knowledge, an eye for technique, and bag FULL of stories to Summit County. He is anxious to work with each existing members of Summit Nordic, the coaches, and parents. Ultimately Justin hopes a continued effort to make skiing part of everyone's winter experience can become a reality. He hopes to continue the impressive legacy that has been set forth by past teams, and believes that an emphasis on fun and hard work is the only sure method of success.
