Dad,
The sun finally came out today and everything cleared up. Skiing we
could see about three different mountain ranges that we did not know
existed. It is gorgeous. Almost fake and unreal. Saw the Finland team
and Russian team and Japan team training today. Finland boys and girls
are huge. John Gerstenberger is small in comparison and one girl
outweighed me by 30 pounds and was 5 inches taller. They are probably
U23 skiers. Saw the race venue today. It absolutely Sucks. Right as
you drive in there is a crystal clear lake and you can see all of the
fish in it. Huge stadium that is at the base of massive snow covered
mountains that rise straight out of the ground. Snow covered tops with
blooms blowing off the top, they surround about three hundred degrees
of the race sight. Two hard km of climbs short downhill. Hard one km
climb. Rippin downhill. Also at breakfast I found out that the lady
that works there works the coffee machine and thought Americans like
drip coffee but she sucks at it, but we can now order any coffee we
want and she makes it, and delivers it. Life is getting better.
