Western State College Open Camp coming up!

The camp is being jointly hosted by Western State College and the Crested Butte Nordic Team. This camp will also be an RMN Select and Devo Team Camp. See the flyers below for more info on how to get in on the fun!

Camp Fee:  $260  Lactate Test/Analysis: $65 VO2 Max Test: $50

Assumption of Risk, Agreement to Hold Harmless, Emergency Release

As the Parent/legal guardian of the camper named here _________________________, it is understood that training or participating in any sport can be a dangerous activity involving many risks of injury.  It is understood that the dangers and risks of training for or participating in cross country skiing include, but are not limited to death or serious injury.  It is understood that the dangers and risks involved with training for or participating in cross country skiing may result not only in serious injury, but in a serious impairment of one’s future abilities to earn a living and engage in other business, social and recreational activities, and to generally enjoy life.

The following additional activities are engaged in at the WSC Nordic Dryland Camp.  Each participant may be involved in any of these activities.  These activities also have inherent risks similar to those mentioned above.  They include, but are not limited to running, hiking, roller skiing, transportation by vehicle, swimming, weight lifting, Frisbee, white water rafting and others.

By signing below, the participant and parent/legal guardian hereby assume all risks associated with participation and agree to hold Western State College, the WSC Nordic Dryland Camp, the Camp Director and all agents, coaches and volunteers harmless from any and all liability, actions, causes of actions, debts, claims, or demands of any kind and nature that may arise by or in connection with participation in any activities related to the WSC Nordic Dryland Camp.  The terms hereof shall serve as a release and assumption of risk for your heirs, estate, executor, administrator, assignees, and for all members of the family.

Additionally, by signing below the participant and parent/legal guardian understand that in the event of an emergency every effort will be made to contact them.  However, in the event that they cannot be reached, this form hereby gives permission to the physician selected by the WSC Nordic Dryland Camp to hospitalize and secure proper treatment (including surgery) for the participant.

Moreover, by the parent and participant signing this form, they are agreeing to abide by all camp rules and reasonable authority of the camp staff and that the participant has been deemed physically able to participate in cross country ski training and recreational activities by a physician.

All information above must be completed and signed by the parent/legal guardian and the camper and full payment must be received for participation in the WSC Nordic Dryland Camp.  When this is received, a confirmation letter will be sent to the camper.
