Final Day for Race Substitutions

Today (Monday, February 13, 2006) is the final day for OJ/J1 skiers hoping to qualify for the Rocky Mountain Nordic Junior National team to submit USSA National Ranking List or FIS points to John Callahan for race substitution.

Coaches and club have been made aware of this via e-mail in the last week -- but if this information fell through the cracks, here you go:

+ Only OJ/J1 athletes may substitute NRL/FIS races for RMN Junior Olympic Qualifier races.

+ All junior skiers hoping to attend JOs must have a total of four (4) scored races to be considered by the RMN JO team.

+ Non-collegiate athletes may substitute points from one (1) NRL/FIS race for one (1) RMN JOQ race.

+ Skiers attending college may substitute points from two (2) NRL/FIS races for two (2) RMN JOQ races.

+ Skiers/coaches must submit points and race results to John Callahan (jcallahan AT teamavsc.com) by February 13, 2006. He will not seek substitutable points for athletes.

+ A points list with substituted races will be available by February 15. The final points list, which will be used to determine the 2006 JO team, will be calculated after the races in Aspen on February 18.
