Last JOQ in Durango was exciting and fun

Miles Havlick hucking here... Thanks to Rich Jortberg for the pictures!

Sunny weekend with cold mornings and warmer mid-day, plenty of snow and challenging courses made for a great JOQ finale.  Results from the classic race are under Info/Forms.  The Junior National Championship team was named at the evening dinner banquet with a nice slide show. (i will post the team as soon as i have the final point list)

Sunday sprint relays were fun and furious with some great costumes and fast skiing. Some skiers had it in them to pull off tricks at the on course jump.

Many thanks to organizers and volunteers for a great event.

Congratulations to the skiers who made the team, and to those whose time will come in the near future, you all gave it your best and should be proud of yourselves.

Huge thank you to the parents and coaches for continuous support and dedication to the sport.

The season is far from over, there are many local races including the Leadville Loppet and Governor's Cup this weekend and upcoming Snow Mountain Ranch Stampede and Wilson Cup in Vail. (Check the calendar for more events)

Keep skiing and Have a great time!
